Sundowner Hill Akaushi is a small family owned and operated producer of Akaushi cattle with some of the most healthy, flavorful, and tender beef you can eat! Our cattle are custom grazed and finished to ensure maximum marbling and a satisfying eating experience for you. We offer both grass fed and grass finished Akaushi as well as grass grown and grain finished Akaushi, both are free from antibiotics and growth hormones. Our beef is dry aged 14-21 days to increase tenderness and flavor, then vacuum sealed and flash frozen by our local butcher to preserve freshness. We are excited to fill your freezer full of our Akaushi beef and taste the Ah-Ka-OO-Shi difference!

Beef shares are a great option to stock your freezer with delicious beef for several months at a time, and if you can even split a share with another family or two. Our beef shares are equally divided by hand and generally contain 25% steaks, 45% ground, and 30% large cuts.

How it works: Once you submit your deposit we reserve your beef share and will update you as we continue to prepare your flavorful Akaushi beef for Graduation Day. We will schedule a slaughter date with our local Butcher about one month in advance and will give you a two week window for when it will be ready for pick up at the butcher. We can also work with you to coordinate a delivery directly to your home or a convenient meeting place as needed. Once the butcher shares the final hanging weight we will send you an invoice showing the total amount owed. This invoiced amount is due prior to pickup.

One-Half and Whole beef share orders will receive a blank cut sheet for customizing your order. This should be completed and returned prior to the slaughter date.

*Processing dates are estimated and subject to change. Estimated beef share weights and costs are based on a 1,500 lb finishing weight. Our grass finished beef typically finish around 1,300 lbs and our grain finished beef typically finish around 1,500 lbs, and total cost is calculated from the hot carcass weight or hanging weight for each animal.
